Titan-ic Events
So, over the last couple of months I’ve been messaging with a lovely lady called Claire from the Northants Titans Basketball Club. Driven by a group of volunteers, not only do they have a mens and womens team in the EBL but they also do a lot of work on the grass roots aspect of the game.
They run summer camps, this years is due to start towards the end of this month. (search www.northamptonshiretitans.co.uk for further information on the club)
As I am determined to up my game on the sporting aspect of photography then we’re going through the approval aspect so that I can join them in providing training, match and promotional still’s. We’ll also be looking to provide images to the teams social media pages directly from the courtside during matches.
Its great to have a positive or 3 coming out of things like the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and its a solid move to show that we are moving cautiously out of lockdown. A couple of weekends ago, Desborough Greenspace Junior parkrun restarted for its 4 - 10 year old runners. It was fabulous to see 82 smiling youngsters come barreling over the hill towards me at warp 8!
Some of them, well . . . . they need no excuse
I was also on my rounds on Saturday when I happened across a police cordon. Unfortunately a male had been found in the street and despite the best of efforts by the emergency services he as pronounced at the scene. This was the second incident in the same, normally quiet street that day.
The credit is nice, but I think I would rather draw my credits for happier times, for things that change life for better and not for worse.
Feedback is always welcome, maybe you have a photography challenge for me (anything but Squirrels! I am determined to get a great capture but they always seem to know when I’m coming and hide!!). If I’m boring the legs off you - let me know and I’ll up my game :)
Until next time - stay safe, stay sane.
